Rehabilitation
Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Aquatic Therapy
After a full assessment by our Health Care Team, we will prepare a resident centered care plan and do everything we can to support your health and wellbeing during your stay at Golden Oaks Village. Getting to know the person before treating the illness enhances rehabilitation and increases the positive impact on their recovery.
Physical Therapy
A physical therapist is on site to improve our residents' overall function, strength and mobility, and to treat neuromuscular conditions, orthopedic injuries, chronic wounds and generalized deconditioning from illness.
Occupational Therapy
An occupational therapist is on site for improving the lives of our residents by focusing on daily activities such as self-care, therapeutic exercise, adaptive equipment training, memory and sensory loss, and safety awareness.
Speech Therapy
A speech therapist is on site for helping resident with swallowing disorders and therapy for language, dysarthria (impairment or clumsiness of words, patient speech that is difficult to understand), and cognitive deficits.
Aquatic Therapy
Golden Oaks' team of licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants provide instruction and lead programs using a variety of specialized pool equipment, Individual therapy, as well as group aquatic therapy programs.
